I asked via email or web form on Friday 24th May every single UK political party that has a national seat or assembly seat the following question:

What is your parties official policy on Covid, Long Covid and ME/CFS?

It is one weak later and only Alliance and Reform UK have responded. Their responses in full are below. Note that Reform UK has ignored my question and has proceeded to spam me and I will report this to the ICO.

Alliance

Thank you for your email - I am responding on behalf of Nuala McAllister MLA, the Alliance Party’s health spokesperson.

I am acutely aware of the impact of Long Covid and ME/CFS. A good friend of mine received a life-changing diagnosis of ME following Long Covid in 2020 and I have witnessed the impact this has had on his life. As a result, I am committed to using my role as researcher for Nuala to ensure that we stay across this issue and continue to press the Department of Health to provide support for those who have been impacted.

In advance of World ME Day on 12th May, Nuala submitted questions asking the Minister of Health to outline the support his department is currently providing - please see answers attached.

While it is good news that money has been ring-fenced to provide services for those with Long Covid, we would also like to see a separate clinic dedicated to providing support.

I would like to reaffirm my personal commitment, and the commitment of the Alliance Party, to ensuring those with Long Covid and ME/CFS are given the support they deserve. If there are any other specific questions you would like us to submit, please let me know.

This is the dullest general election campaign in history. Keir Starmer has nothing memorable to say at all, and it is clear Rishi Sunak does not have a plan to stop the boats.

Reform UK is grateful for your support over the years, and we would not have such a strong voice in this election without you.

What a week and what a last few months it has been!

We are making great progress across Essex & we couldn’t do it without you so thank you!

To get details of your local candidate please search Find My PPC on the website.

Today we appointed Louise Bonham to Southend West & Leigh, and Sophie Preston-Hall to Thurrock. Both will be amazing additions in the next 5 weeks!

Both require 10 signatures from registered voters in those constituencies in order to officially stand.

If you are in either Thurrock or Southend West constituencies, please could you let us know that you are willing to sign their nomination papers, and Sophie or Louise will arrange to visit or meet, probably on Saturday.

Thanks once again for your support.

Plenty going on this weekend. I am hosting a street stall in Canvey High Street between 10-12 tomorrow, and potentially a very big day for the county on Monday to be announced!
